Retire Louisiana Style says it all. Here in Louisiana we have a unique style of life that includes a variety of places and activities. We have piney hills in the northwest and on the eastern side of the state vast farmlands make up the banks of the Mississippi River. Our southern regions have nine parishes lining the Gulf of Mexico and throughout the state are towns and communities with people who have a special zest for life.
Activities in Louisiana are abundant, outdoor recreation includes hunting, fishing, biking, paddling, golfing and birding. Our cultural activities are innumerable and will keep you entertained year-round: heritage areas, festivals in every community, native music, and then, of course, there is the food, which is second to none.

For military personnel that may have served in Louisiana it is often a home coming. Many soldiers have been stationed in Louisiana and are familiar with our state. We have three bases (Barksdale Air Force Base, Ft. Polk Army Base and the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans) in Louisiana and access to VA hospitals and facilities throughout Louisiana.
